2023 Tourism Student Service Camp (KEBAWAMATA)

 

(Pekanbaru, November 30, 2023) The Tourism Student Association (HIMAPAR) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau, held its annual event, the Tourism Student Service Camp, or Kebawamata, with the theme: “Revitalizing Character to Strengthen Awareness, Care, and Loyalty.” This year, Kebawamata took place at Lake Rusa in Kampar Regency from November 17-19, 2023. The event was attended by students from the 2023 cohort, committee members from the 2022 cohort, several alumni, as well as the Program Coordinator, along with several faculty members and program staff.

The Program Coordinator opened the event by stating that its purpose was to foster independence, solidarity, and environmental awareness. He encouraged Kebawamata participants to engage in the activities with enthusiasm.

On the first evening, the group gathered to recite Surah Yasin together. The second day included games designed to build teamwork and solidarity among the participants.

In the evening, known as the main event, there was a cultural performance accompanied by a bonfire.

The following day, or the last day, all participants and the committee of Kebawamata prepared themselves for departure.
